This is as near to an all inclusive experience as you can get while camping in the gorgeous Keweenaw Peninsula! Our luxury designed 2022 Camper will be fully equipped with everything you need both indoors and out in the most premier spot on the Northshore of the Keweenaw. (Note: We plan may sell camper this in Oct 2026 to keep updating for future guests. Let us know if interested).
Location:
We are halfway up the Keweenaw Peninsula (insert left hand and point at thumb nail), 30 minutes drive time from the Houghton-Portage Lift Bridge, central to all the local points of interest. The site is nestled in what we call the "Grotto", which contains its own little piece of Lake Superior Shoreline, carved between two rock outcroppings forming a private little cove.
Site:
Simply Marvvv-oulous! Set roughly 5 feet below area terrain and separated by a light tree line, this space feels truly unique and calming especially in the height of the summer lushness. Here, you will have access to an upscale outdoor kitchen, custom paver patios with outdoor furniture, a private fire pit complete with tools and supplies, an outdoor breakfast deck built atop of the legendary large tree stump with power and direct view of the cove, freighters, and priceless sunsets. There are also two kayaks with life jackets and whistles. You will have an outdoor sink fit to drink, outdoor shower sprayers on the Camper, and access to Wifi. With approval and for a fee, we welcome a furry friend and offer pet leash safety hooks outside the camper and in the lawn. The neighborhood eagle is often perched on this lot!
NOTE: There are two golden doodles on property who roam freely. They are not usually jumpers and are not known to take food (but they are dogs...). They love people and are typically loved back by most :)

Luxury Apartment....errr...Camper :)
Bedroom: This design puts the queen sized bedroom in the back of the unit. It has two doors by design, but if you leave the main hallway door shut you create a great space for your storage. It has closet storage on both sides of the bed and two side tables for you use. The bed itself was upgraded on purchase and be fully prepped with linens, four pillows, a comforter, and a decorative extra blanket for cool nights.
Bathroom: Unlike most campers, this one comes with a higher PORCELAIN toilet!! It also has a skylight in the shower and a large cabinet for added storage. Here you will find all the towels and bathroom products needed for your stay. It is a walkthrough bathroom, which makes it easily accessible from anywhere in the unit and directly off the main door for outside access as well.
Kitchen: LOVE THIS LAYOUT! There is a WELL STOCKED coffee bar (k-cups and ground options) located to your right immediately upon entrance. I've got you covered! We've also provided all the basics needed to function efficiently in the kitchen or out at the grill and griddle. The fridge is 11 cubic feet (!) and there is a walk-in pantry for longer stays. It also boasts a beautiful Island and dining table seating for four.
Living Room: This is where it gets really good! :) With two full room slide-outs in the main living area, you are set for spacious comfort regardless of the weather outside! There are two theater style recliner seats with massage, light, and heat, an electric fireplace for the right ambiance, and additional couch that does pull out (but why...) and a large screen smart TV with Bluetooth speakers both inside and out.
Basics... obviously heat and ac (with what they call an "AIR DUMP" when you walk into a hot room and want it instantly cold!!) and also an electric awning (there are two but we ask that you don't use the one over the lawn as it is too close to the firepit). It also has blue accent lighting if you are a fan :) It really is apartment-like with camping flair!
What’s included:
•Linens, basic supplies... it would be easier to say what's not included. Food and Drink is not included. But actually, I will have the basics out there for that too (lol)! Condiments in the fridge (community style so feel free to BYO), coffee (k-cup or drip), tea, sweeteners, creamers, tin foil, seasoning (again, community), and basically anything else you need :)
Trip recommendation for guests
Dining Out: The Fitzgerald (5 mi), The Glacia Tavern (10 mi), Sundae in the Park (10 mi), The Harbor House (25 mi), The Hut (11 mi).
Bars: Drift Inn (5 mi) and the Cliffview (10 mi). More in Calumet
To-do: Hike, Rock Pick, Bird Watch, Waterfalls, Lighthouses, and Copper Mining History!
